Advanced Internet Kiosk FAQ
Restricting access to files and folders with
Advanced Internet Kiosk
Question: Is it possible to restrict access to certain files and folders
with Advanced Internet Kiosk?
Brief Answer: Yes, it is possible. Combine
Advanced Internet Kiosk with Microsoft File Security to be able to restrict access to
files and folders.
Answer: In order to have access to certain
folders on your hard drive you can use the basic Windows NT/2000/XP built in
security features. You can click on any folder and give read, write, change,
delete, all access controls to any or all users with a very fine granularity. We
simply didn't want to replicate what has already been done quite nicely by
Microsoft in our product. If you combine Advanced Internet Kiosk with Microsoft File
Security, you will be able to restrict access to files and folders.
