1st Mass Mailer FAQ

Handling bounce back messages

Question: When I send messages using 1st Mass Mailer some of them bounce back for one reason or another. How can I import addresses of non-deliverable mail and automatically erase them from my list?

Brief Answer: You need to use POP3 subscribe and unsubscribe

Answer: First you need to set up POP3 server credentials. Go to options and POP3 settings tab. Set host, username and password for your email box, into which you are receiving these bounced email messages. Also set up the keywords that should be found in the subject in order for this message to be considered a bounce back. The program will search for those keywords. Then you can run unsubscribe process and choose a POP3 option. This will mark the emails it found as disabled (they will still be in the emails list so you can enabled them if there was some mistake). If you don't need them anymore and want to delete them completely from the list, use the batch delete option for this group and make it delete all the disabled emails for you.
