1st Mass Mailer FAQ

Using macros in 1st Mass Mailer

Question: Is it possible to use Macro in your software?

Brief Answer: Yes, definitely

Answer: You can use macro substitutions in the text of the message by using a name of the macro enclosed in percentage signs like this: %COMPANY% When you import your subscribers or type them in manually, you have the ability to change some fields for each of the subscribers. Then when you create a message, use the macro substitution, to place the value from the database in place of the code. You can also add new macro names and hold constant values there, for example you want your signature to be constant, when you change it or change the address or email, you don't have to change all the messages, you just need to change one constant macro. We are planning on enhancing this feature, so that you can create any arbitrary records and you should be able to even create a conditional macros and loops inside the email. You would be able to alter the message based on a certain variable for example.
