Encryption changes data so that it is meaningless to
anyone who does not have a key to unscramble it. For example, Hello might be changed to 2kdi&k4. After you encrypt data, only you and the people you choose can decrypt (unscramble) the information to make it readable again.Use Privacy to encrypt and decrypt
e-mail and e-mail attachments,
any text that you can cut and paste, such as a
paragraph in an e-mail or the contents of a cell in a
spreadsheet, a file,
a directory, or
all user data on a removable disk.
