Multiple User Accounts.

While Desktop security can be a vital concern in certain environments, often it is simply the aggravation of sharing your computer with others, whose taste in wallpaper, screen savers, shortcuts, etc., offend your sense of computer serenity.

Multiple user accounts will allow you to set up your computer for each individual user. Each user in the system will have a user profile that keeps information about his or her software settings. For example, a user can pick his or her favorite wallpaper and screen saver, choose the colors used to display the various elements of the Windows user interface, or arrange the desktop in whatever configuration is pleasing..

A bonus is that each user will have his or her own document folder. By default, user profiles are not enabled. So if you want to escape the neon preferences of your teeny bopper or be free of your spouse’s cluttered ways on the Desktop, follow these directions and regain some sense of privacy. These directions are for standalone computers only.
